A family business
From our place to yours – an interview with the Rayes family
KONCPTS, formerly Homes, has rebranded to reflect its growth from a leading kitchen solutions provider to a full-scale designer and manufacturer of bespoke kitchens. While the name has changed, the company’s core values—craftsmanship, design excellence, and innovation—remain unchanged.
Founded by Amr El Rayes, Homes became synonymous with quality kitchen solutions in Egypt. His dedication to design and problem-solving continues to shape the business today, and many still recognize the company by his name as a symbol of trust and expertise.
The rebrand to KONCPTS aligns with the company’s expanded focus on modern, technology-driven, bespoke kitchen solutions, while honoring its legacy of exceptional craftsmanship and design.

Inspiration from Nature
Nour El Rayes, the creative force behind the designs, draws inspiration from the ever-changing colors of the sky and landscape near her home in East Cairo. “Whenever you step out of your door, the sky’s a different color,” she says. This constant change inspires her to incorporate natural hues into her kitchen designs, using materials like wood veneers, nickel, and brass to bring the outdoors inside.
A Legacy of Expertise
Amr El Rayes, the company’s founder, brings years of experience to KONCPTS. After returning to Egypt from Saudi Arabia, he set out to create a business that would leave a lasting legacy. His passion for design and problem-solving drives the company’s commitment to creating beautiful, functional kitchens.
His son, Ziad, who joined the company three years ago, focuses on technological efficiency. He combines his father’s passion for innovation with his sister Nour’s creative vision. Together, they ensure that each kitchen balances art and science, making every design unique. Ziad believes, “No two kitchens are the same.”
Crafting Kitchens with Precision
KONCPTS uses a 3D planner to help clients visualize their kitchens before production begins. Each piece is cut and shaped by machine, then finished by hand. While automation ensures precision, Nour believes the human touch is crucial: “You still have to have somebody finishing everything by hand.”
Growth and Future Vision
With a team of 250, KONCPTS is expanding, with plans for new showrooms and more kitchens built to the highest standards. Their goal is to create kitchens that not only make a lasting impression but also work seamlessly for their owners. From design to installation, every KONCPTS space design is a perfect blend of form, function, and craftsmanship.
